Some artists use a sketch pad to draw, some use plain paper, but Burt Shonberg did all of his”notes” on napkins while in restaurants. Somewhere around 1970, Burt morphed into his new identity, “Jack Bond”, an agent fromThe TimeCoast. When the recording of Spirit’s “Tampa Jam, Electro Jam – From The TimeCoast” was in production, Burt was called upon to create an album cover, which he did by drawing the front and back cover on napkins.
